Second Set Design

In my last post, I designed the set for Lihi's room in my film. Now, it's time to decorate my character's room! This character has a completely different vibe. While Lihi's room followed a light color scheme and had a "cutesy" vibe, I want this room to look more moody and alternative. Like I did in my last post, I also searched for inspiration on Pinterest for how I wanted to design it. Here are the photos:

These rooms look so cozy. I really like the dark, ambient lighting, and how a lot of blankets and pillows are layered on the bed to make it look extra snuggly. Something seen throughout all of these photos are fairy lights. I actually have those, but they're on my curtains instead of on top of my bed. However, I do have LED lights! Alongside turning on my fairy lights, I'll probably set my LEDs on to a color like red or purple to get a dark, atmospheric look.

My current room looks nothing like this! Right now, it has the cute and "girly" aesthetic I'm trying to reserve for Lihi's room. To change this, I'm going to layer darker bedding on top of the blanket I already have. I think the dusty-rose sheets and pillowcases I have currently look nice and will fit the vibe, so I'll be keeping that. All I'm really going to do is add more. I'm going to add an additional white throw blanket and more dark-colored pillows. And, I'm going to add decorations to my nightstands to make them look less like they have random stuff on them and instead more organized!

Okay, the room is officially complete! Time for a before-and-after comparison. Voila!

I really like how it turned out. It reminds me of those rooms a lot of people had in 2016.

(For reference)

I also turned on the LEDs, and they really helped! I love the vibe they created.

Overall, I love how this set turned out. A person's room can be representative of their personality. I feel like I captured the essence of both of my protagonists through carefully decorating their bedrooms. I really resonate with today's set, and may keep my room like this permanently now!

That's all for today. Because I've finishing making the sets, I should probably begin planning filming dates and talking to my actors soon! So, stay tuned for content about that. I'll see you then!
