Late-Night Editing (ft. A Current Dilemma...)
It's currently 9:38 P.M, and I've compiled Lihi's scenes into Capcut for my film opening. I've edited in the soundtrack and text credits aswell. However, I've made two different variations of her character introduction sequence. I'm finding myself torn between the two! So, I'm going to share them with you guys. Here is the first one.
As of right now, the quality is a little poor and a watermark from Capcut is obstructing some of the text. But, that will all be fixed once I export my final draft. The main difference from this video and the second one is the way my title is introduced. Here, I have it on a plain black screen, which then fades into a video of Lihi opening her eyes. One thing I don't like about this first draft is how the audio seems to play randomly and adruptly. I had to cut the beginning bit of the song so it wouldn't be too long & so the beats would align with the clips I used. This is why I'm not leaning towards this one as much.
This is my second draft. This one presents the title card scene in the way I initially planned. I wanted to have it not on a seperate screen, but to be integrated into my film like it is here. When I first edited this, I thought the title being incorporated into the film looked a little choppy and "unprofessional." However, I'm now actually leaning towards this look more! It sticks to what I'd originally planned and I'm actually more fond of it now. I think it looks more interesting and visually aesthetic than having the title on just a blank screen.
Additionally, I feel like the audio for this extract sounds better. You get to hear the build-up of the song instead of like in the first clip, where it seems to just jump into the chorus. I think this excerpt is less sudden and adrupt as the last one. However, one thing I need to work on is the text. These two clips are just rough drafts. They could still use more developing. I'm going to try and add more text effects, especially to the line that says "Produced by Jillybob Studios," to make the text look more cohesive and flow better.
I'd also asked Lihi which one she liked better. Here was what she said!
